If one of you needs a scope and wants it potentially cheap, keep you
eyes on these. It's opening at $79 and may not move much higher. (OK,
one did go recently for $251, but the guy has no reserve so you never
know...

I got my Hitachi recently from ebay at $100. It has really been
useful. I usually use my ears for sound design, but it is
nevertheless interesting and helpful to 'see' the music/sound. I
really recommend getting a 'scope and learning how to use it!

Absolutely Mike! A scope provides a visual for DC voltages as well.
This will allow you to see in real time what your control modules
(EG, LFO, S/H, UEG) are doing. With the audio on channel one of the
scope and the control voltage on channel two, you'll watch the event
you've patched unfold as you hear it- a GREAT learning tool! You'll
be wearing a lab coat and pocket protector in time...

Chub-owner of three 'scopes and not quite right in the head.
