This was heavily recommended by MaximumPC Magazine. I ran it and the first time it found over 350 suspicious components on my PC, ones that are known to be "marketware spy" programs. I deleted them all with no detrimental effects on my system. In fact, a few less processes are running and I think it even runs faster.

The whole spam/spying thing is out of control.

And the government is using 911 to justify a slew of new laws making spying easier and more legal. This is truly stuff to fear.
