Disco CE3K (was: Back-burner Moog record project)
2002-07-03 by Tkacs, Ken
Right, Meco did a lot of those albums back then. When a big SF movie came out, you almost waited for the Meco album that would pop up on AM radio the same week. But some may remember that the original LP version of the CE3K soundtrack came with a 45 RPM of a pseudo-disco version of the theme that John Williams himself did! Ripe with "wakka-wakka" guitar and everything. Strangely (or not) this cut hasn't made it onto any subsequent release, no matter how otherwise complete it may be.

Well, there were the Meco Monardo albums, a sort of jazz/disco contemporary ensemble with Suzanne Ciani using Buchla synthesizers for the electronic stuff. I think I read somewhere that Meco runs a software publishing company now.
