Greetings

1999-02-04 by daveb@eai.com

Hello all,

I'm new to the list, courtesy of Steve. Maybe now Paul can go back to designing and building stuff instead of answering my endless email questions<g>. I haven't taken the plunge yet to buy any modules, and am anxiously awaiting details on the oscillator module. I built a couple of synths years ago using Emu submodules and SSM Voice Demo boards, so the kit idea appeals to me. Having to make your own panels is the killer, and Paul seems to have solved that problem for me nicely. I look forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome Dave.
Welcome to the list. Geesh, I thought I was the only one bothering Paul
all the time with an endless stream of questions. <grin> I feel so
relieved. I think we have all been looking forward to the osc modules.
However, I would not suggest that you wait for an oscillator module to be
your first. You will need a few others, and the available modules are
wonderful. I think Paul was smart not to bring the osc and filter modules
out first. Although we know the oscillator will be great, I think it is
the unique features of the other modules (not necessarily availible on
other modular stuff) that will really eventually set MOTM out from the pack
IMHO.

Just a short note to say hello to the community here. I will soon be taking the plunge into
MOTM modular madness, and am looking forward to it.

Welcome, Chad!

Just a word of warning - this stuff can get quite addicting! If you
decide to get into expanding your synth via DIY, check out my website
for some extra info.
