How well does this work, as well as the 300 over the range it covers? If so, It could be a cool bass VCO and different than the 300/310 with addition of the of the Shape modulation. Barry

It is not very good above A880. The tracking will be off too much above middle C. Below middle C, it may be OK, but this is NOT a trimmed setting. Your '320 may be 5% off another '320. <Paul S> ----- Original Message -----

I love to use my 320 in the bass range as a sub oscillator. However, you may find (and Paul told us too) that tracking is nor exactly perfect on all 320s as that was not a design feature. "Close" is what it is supposed to be. Some people report theirs are right on. Both mine are slightly off. So, I use a frequency divider to sync my 320 in addition to driving it with the 1/v oct signal. I thought about trimming that input amp gain (like the 300), but it just doesn't seem important. The 320 has always been one of my favorite modules. Larry Hendry

OK, it's worth a spin, though. It should be great for bass drones, at least. Is Shape equivalent to PW for the pulse wave? What does it do to sine and saw? I'm guessing the saw transitions to tri then to ramp and the sine "leans" similarly? I see the 380's upper limit is 35Hz, will the 390 go into the audio range? Since is more difficult to explain. I guess you could day one lobe gets fat while the other is skinny and then they alternate going through a regular sine. I'm stuck for a better way to describe it. Larry

I use a 300->120 for this. George ----- Original Message -----

Saw goes from \ to / Sine sort of "rounds up" or "rounds down" the overall shape. > > I see the 380's upper limit is 35Hz, will the 390 go into the audio > range? The VC section will go up to maybe 300Hz. <Paul S>
