YAU=yet another update

1) All '380s on order should ship by Saturday.

2) All '300 and '420 kits on order should ship by Sat.

3) Next 2 weeks, I am concentrating on assembled orders. I continue to build up kits. '800 and
'310 are next to stock up, followed by the last '110s and some '101s. I work on the kits when I
get tired of soldering. Unless I am taking a nap.

4) MOTM-390 uLFO brackets Stooge approved and will ship to me this coming week. Will kit up
'390s and '890s right after Memorial Day weekend (my birthday!).

Last chance to see Robert Rich is May 12th in San Francisco. Then he will start bothering me for
the 500 Series :)

I will post some VC Pulse Divider poop in about 3 weeks. Scope photos and such.

At least I am NOT BORED.

All together now:

Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday, dear Pa-aul...
Happy birthday to you!

(At least I think that he said that his birthday is sometime this weekend.)

1) Fuzzy picture of the MOTM-450 *prototype* test card is at

www.synthtech.com/pix

There is 1 filter "missing" because it wouldn't fit cleanly. The filters are "untweaked", but
they are all in fact filters :) I will be running AP plots shortly. The remote bypass is working
as well. This is NOT the form factor, this is just a card to beat up.

2) Kitting of the '390s and '490s is all done but the ICs, which I plan to do tomorrow. Over 175
individual kits of various modules have been completed over the last 10 days or so, which is over
20,000 parts stuck into little plastic bags. Next week will be a post office extravaganza. Look
for your happy email.

3) I'm also sending out the '190 for production pc boards next week. I don't expect to see the
front panels until Sept. 18th or so.

4) The '890 MicroMixer is still waiting for pots. I have only 90 or so left, and those are for
assembled modules (mainly the 12 '440s on order). The pots are not due until early *October*.

5) I am designing a super-duper whiz-bang MOTM-450 Expansion Module. I need to run some tests,
but start saving your $$$.

6) I am turning my NAMM booth reservation in next week as well. NAMM is in Anaheim CA across the
street from Disneyland parking lot. Starts around Jan 13th. I will have 5 all-access badges to
sell for $25ea, payment via MO or PayPal. If you want one, it's first paid, first get :)

OK back to work.

a) Received today all of the new (and old) connector boards from wave solder. So, the
MOTM-960s/990s will start going out Monday (we are supposed to get 3 inches of rain tomorrow,
batten down the hatches!). Will start shipping out new MOTM-950 power supplies in about 3 weeks.
I will write a combined 900/950 power supply manual, as the difference is 2 additional wires
soldered and connected to the new pc board..

b) finished today the '310 kit restocking ('440s are done as well). Starting tomorrow on the
'490s, then on Monday will start shipping out what I can. When will *your* order be shipped? Why,
the day I send you the email notice :)

c) Want to welcome new customer/artist Drew Neumann. He does much of the music for "The Wild
Thornberrys" (if you have kiddos) and is widely hailed for his compositions for the MTV animated
series "Aeon Flux". I'm excited to have Drew choose MOTM (he studied all the available choices at
great length). Now I just have to ship it :) Hopefully for the new fall MTV schedule, MOTM will
abound (between Drew and Roy Harter, MOTM will be all over cable this year). The foundation of
MOTM is the loyal DIY kit builders, and the way the company (and the MOTM community grows) is by
having MOTM music actually "out there" for people to hear. I am seeing a trend reversal: new
films/scores/games are reverting back to good old analog. I still like Ms PacMan beeps and boops!
