New MOTM-450 layouts

Now that I have the frequency bands, here are two images laid out on
the 3U grid preferred by most people.

1. Preserves the visual symmetry of LP and HP knobs to the left.

2. Arranges bands in strictly ascending order.

This one is as near as I can get to the Moog 907 layout in 3U with
standard knob sizes, and is my personal favorite.

hello,

Not to reopen a can of worms or anything, but is there
any particular reason why the bands go from low to
high from left to right? That seems to be the opposite
of my intrinsic visualization of sound. I would think
that one would address the higher frequencies first
hence (the hpf first) then the bands in descending
order to the LPF. Also if the bypass swith and the led
were on the right side of the module it might be a bit
more ergonomic. It seems unusual that they would be to
the left. It just seems "wrong". Then again I could be
ass backwards and thinking completely differently than
everyone else.

Addendum:

I think this needs a little more explanation. I don't
think it would look better (It might even be less
visually appealing) but with the way the knobs are
layed out it would make for a more natural positioning
of the knobs. Of course this only applies for people
who read and write their languages from left to right.

I like the general concept and arrangement of Dave's option #2, which
really puts the HP and LP pots in their correct locations in relationship
of their function to the rest of the band filters. The only thing I think
is that the 2000hz pot looks a little out of place all the way to the
left. How about this: http://www.hylander.com/images/motm/m-450-2a.jpg

IMHO, this one is the keeper: lows on top, highs on bottom, with two
columns of bandpass filters in grouped in octaves. Yes! This layout
is one of those "I can tweak it in the dark" beauties.
