Velocity sensitive voice with Pro2000?

Velocity sensitive voice with Pro2000?

2002-03-13 by Matt Hutchison

Hey Everyone,
I'm trying to make my MOTM velocity sensitive but I'm not sure how to do this with the Pro 2000. I am hoping that I can map velocity to one of the auxiliary CV's. Does anyone know how this is done or if it is possible?
Thanks,
-Matt

Thanks Larry,
I didn't see velocity as one of the options for mapping to a CV. I saw things like modulation wheel, pitch bend, and the like, but not velocity. Do you know what midi # it is?

Absolutely Matt. The pro 2000 has 6 auxiliary outouts. Velocity CV can be
mapped to any or all of them. You can also scale that CV output right in
the pro-2000. Very easy and handy.

You do not use CC# for velocity. When you select (on the bottom row of the
LED display) your choices for the Ax1 (or other) output, velocity appears as
a text choice right between pitchbend and aftertouch.
