Pretty close to it, I'd bet...

I don't believe you are being "shunned" for mentioning fruit-shaped plugs;
it's much more likely that few of us have any helpful experience with banana
plugs in order to help you out.

I second the suggestion that using the patch panel would seem to be
preferable to rewiring your modules.
