New MOTM demo

2001-12-17 by Paul Schreiber

I have had several folks inquire if MOTM can do "EMS-type sounds". Well, here you go:

http://www.planetofidiots.com/motm/mp3s/2nd_hand_smoke.mp3

This is a big file (about 14MB, at 256k/s)!

Sort of "post Skinny Puppy" industrial sampling, with MOTM gurgles, drones, whumps and buzzes in
the background. Check out the plucked string FM patch with vocal formants around the 4:40 to 5:20
tick. Thanks to Will Riley.

New MOTM demo

2007-09-04 by Koos Fockens

hi all,

On my webblog at http://www.motmsynth.blogspot.com/ you can now download my
latest little demo sequence. It's a simple bassline sequence, with some added delay and
reverb, build with only:
- 1 MOTM 300
- 1 MOTM 440
- 1 MOTM 390
- 2 MOTM 800
- 1 MOTM 190
And of course using my MOTM 650 to be able to send the sequence to the synth in the
first place.
There are a few interuptions in the loop here and there, as I did not focus on getting a
smooth loop, but instead wanted to highlight what can be done with only a few modules,
and some knob noodling :-)

It is a zip file you'll be downloading, which is 8.9MB, and once unzipped, it's a MP3 file of
5 minutes, at 192kb/sec bitrate, so pretty high quality.
Especially those of you, who are considering an MOTM system, or have only just started
ordering modules, have a listen. It should convince you that you are starting with a great
modular system, that can sound fantastic, even with a modest ammount of modules.

Then again, I am a sucker for bass sequences like this , where is my cape, so I can solo
over it properly :-)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
