Meet Darmok

2001-11-28 by Paul Schreiber

Darmok is a Canadian MOTM monster, vying for the largest system built from kits. Here is a sneak
peek of the work in progress. I'll have more later.

WWWOOOWWW!

What do you say Mr. Bradley? Hows the S of D doing? I
am amazed at the size of this new thing. My wife would
SHI*! Sure is good to see MOTM systems that will
undoubtedly become as photographed as the old famous
Moogs.

Hey, if I had a spare 14+ grand lying around you can be ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN
my system would be similar in size too! (~72 modules @ avg $200 per module)

;^)

BTW, I'm still impressed with what Mike Marsh can do with just a few
modules.

That's what I thought until I saw the photo with Scott actually standing
beside it. The top row is eye height. VERY nice work I especially like
that part about being able to move it. The older I get the more important
the weight specification becomes.

Not the largest, but an impressive commitment nonetheless. It ties
the Synth of Doom for module space - he has 24U x 6 rows, while SOD
has 36U x 4 rows, both equalling 144U worth of space.

I'm sure somebody else already has us both beat!
