Future VCOs, etc......

Also: I need to have products I can introduce next year as well. Can't saturate the market just yet. Hopefully, I am seeing the light at the end of the non-MOTM tunnel shortly. I am going to work next week on the '320 VCLFO, and then start the 1U flood. I did get a sample of the display I want to use in the sequencer today. It is a 2 line x 20 char. Noritake VFD (vaccuum-flourescent display). I need to find a suitable filter/bezel for it (I think DigiKey may have something) and then check for proper mounting hardware (never can find the perfect height standoff). I used these in a pizza oven controller (!!?!) driven by an 8051, so I can quickly have code up to drive the display. I am also toying with the idea of a 3U wide companion "expansion panel" for the Seq. It would have 48 (!) jacks. 16 x 3. The 3 are CV out, Gate/Trig out, and a "dry" contact closure out (ie a SPST reed relay or some such, like the Moog 962). The contact closes for the time that stage is active (instant light show, sync'd slide shows, whatever). It would attach via ribbon cable to the main CPU board. That way a full 10U width is taken up. If I can't get them to fit, then I may use 1 stereo (CV/Gate) + 1 mono (closure) per stage. Also: don't forget this thing needs an *additional* source of +5V at about 600ma. There will be a MOTM-910 +5V power supply. Some folks have bought the Power One HBB or HCC triple-output supplies: these will work as well. The Seq need *both* +5V and +-15V cables. The +5V will be 3-wire (hopefully) or if not 4 pos *but* MTA-100 as opposed to MTA-156. End panels are at metal fab. Everyone that sent "I want...." email: I will announce when they are "official" and then you can send in an official order (I trashed the older emails as I had 5400 in the inbox!!). I still expect $12/pr. They are 0.800 inches wide. I don't expext any 'too wide to fit' issues. Paul S.
