Korg, Roland, and other made envelope followers. I think the Sherman
FilterBank2 has an envelope follower, and I've seen envelope pedals with CV
outs.

Pretty much every company made a 10v p-p preamp :) 10Vp-p is less than 14
dBu. So depending on whether you are amplifying an instrument or a
microphone, you have a massive number of choices: Avalon, Bogen, Carvin,
Dbx, Earthworks, Focusrite, GT Viper, HHB, I could go on but I can't think
of a brand that begins with an "X" :)

Do any other companies make envelope followers and/or 10v p-p preamps? I
hate to be an ass, but when building this synthesizer I did so on a fixed
budget and with audio processing in mind. In less than a month I'll be
quitting my job and returning to school, which means no toys for the next
couple of years. I'd like to be able to use this system for something other
than collecting dust, and currently, it seems that the EF and preamp have
taken the back burner (last update I thought these were due out around
sept. of this year) I'd really like to have the MOTM counterparts to fit
the look and format of the rest of my system, however I will buy from
almost anyone right now (other than paia or the like) in the interest of
time. -Nate

The frostwave funk.a.duck envelope follower will transmit an envelope
CV too. It's not MOTM format but worth taking a look at.

i too was anxious for an EF so that i could better process sounds from the
outside world. i came across the schematic for an old polyfusion 2044 EF
and made a dual module of it in a MOTM 2-space unit.

it was a challenging build to a novice. needless to say, but emulating
paul's inspiring use of top quality parts and procedures, it came out real
nice and i use it constantly on drums etc, with the GATE out normalled to
my ADSRs.

i think the schematic came from the synthfool site. i had some help
finalizing/improving it; if u ask and i can find it, i will send it to you.

happy MOTMing
