Or: Use 2 MWs in parallel to achieve closer to 16 bit accuracy. All
that would be required is a precision mixer to sum them at a 256:1
ratio.

My advice is forget about just intonation on the Mini Wave. Just
intonation
is best used for harmonic music anyway, and you'd need multiple Mini
Waves
for chord quantizing. For single melodic lines it's much easier to
use
equal tempered scales of 19 equal, 31 equal, or the Bohlen-Pierce
scale.

For just intonation on an analog modular, either use true analog
sequencers
(no D/As) or 16 bit accurate MIDI-to-CV converters such as the Encore
Expressionist, adding discrete pitch bends per note.

That won't work. You can't add more bits for correction, because the first
8 are only accurate to 7-8 bits. If you did an analysis of the first 8 bits
non-linearity then you could make the adjustment, but that could be
different for each Mini Wave A/D and D/A pair.

Best option is just to wait for that Schreiber/Rich/Sholtz secret project.

That's assuming you are pretty sure you know what he's working on
LOL! I thought Paul already nixed that idea:

Incorrect. Good guess, though!!

I'm getting such great ideas about what Rich and Scholtz might be working on
that I'm keeping them to myself. It's sort of like when Rossum saw those
impressive VCF specs from Arp, and designed a filter to beat that. He later
discovered that the Arp filter wasn't even close to the printed
specification, and his design was better than anything on the market. My
presumed ideas might be better than what eventually gets released!
