In the original discussion (sorry, I don't know of an accurate search 
term), Paul stated that this VCO would be built around a different 
core - one which produced a triangle as its basic waveform. Hence, 
the dedicated triangle output. You may as well have a second VCO with 
potentially a slightly different sound for variety, eh?

The other output is manually variable from SAW to SQUARE.

A saw or square output would be more practical than a triangle, even if it
is the waveform produced by the VCO's core.

Perhaps, it could be changed so that the fixed output is either saw or
square, and the variable output goes from triangle (or whatever) to saw if
the fixed output is square, or from triangle (or whatever) to square if the
fixed output is saw.  tHat way, both saw and square can be made available
at the same time.

Alternately, the SHAPE knob could be replaced with a Pulse Width knob for
the square output.

Then again, the SHAPE knob could be left off entirely, imho, as long as the
fixed outputs were saw and square.

That could be useful.  If a module had a SOU output I could make change
during Holy Roman Empire :)


(Afaik, sou were bronze, and the Holy Roman Empire did not include France.)
