I am definitely doing a run of Oakley OMS-410 kits. I am currenly working
out the details.

The kit should include:

* Printed documentation (Tony does not provide this)
* Oakley PCB
* Custom Stooge FP
* Modified Stooge Mounting Bracket (to accomodate 3 pots)
* Solder (2 types, Kester, same as Paul)
* Alco knobs (same as MOTM)
* Switchcraft jacks (same as MOTM)
* Pots (same as MOTM if availability permits)
* Standoffs/mounting hardware for PCB and mounting bracket
* Black FP screws
* Wire (may not be stripped)
* All electronic parts (quality will be at MOTM level when possible)
* USPS Priority Shipping

I don't think I have left anything out.

Tony has given the thumbs up on this project.

Larry and Dave are working with me currently for FPs and brackets.

Tony's switch will not be included, although you could still mod to do
yourself.

The FP layout should remained unchanged from Tony's.

All kits will be numbered.

This is currently a limited run of 20. If I get enough pre-orders, this
number may increase.

Don't forget, you need an MOTM-410 to use the OMS-410. If you don't have
one, buy one from Paul now to avoid the rush.

You will need to make a couple of connections to you MOTM-410 for this kit,
although it will not be "modified."

Do NOT buy a PCB from Tony if you are buying this kit. The PCB, as stated
above, is included in the kit.

I will not be modifying the kits. All kits are as it. So please don't ask
me to leave out parts to reduce the price.

I already have 2 pre-orders and 1 confirmed order.

I am taking pre-orders now. MO or Paypal only. Email me directly for
complete information. $100 down. The balance, which has yet to be
determined, is due when the kits are ready before I ship. I will have the
total price in the next 2 weeks. I estimate the total to be under $200. A
flat shipping fee for USPS Prioity Mail will be included in the total cost
for North American oders (slightly higher for international orders); there
will be no shipping discounts for multiple kit purchases. In the event that
the kits would not ship, I will refund the full amount you have submitted to
me.

I am estimating that the kits will begin shipping first half of August. It
may take longer if certain parts are not available. It may be quicker if
everything comes together nicely.

I am providing this as a service to the MOTM community the same as Larry and
Dave have been doing. I am NOT doing this to make money.

I am also planning on doing a kit for the OMS-820 when it is released later
this year. It is a companion module to the MOTM-820. Info at:

After the dust has settled from the original sales of the (in)famous OMS-410
kits, I realized I still have several kits left. I only have one MOTM-410
so all of the extra kits aren't doing me any good.

This kit fits the Stooge FP which is the 1U full MOTM-format FP design
provided by Tony. If you want to add options, you will have to purchase a
few additional parts and figure how to mount them yourself (although I don't
think any of the original customers did this).

I sold the original kits at a significant loss. These prices are higher
than they originally were, but they are still reasonable.

The other MAJOR difference is that these kits are ready to go sitting in
their Priority boxes waiting for me to put addresses on them. In other
words, fast turn around (unlike before)!
