Two words: chaos patches!

Roughly described, you get all kinds of weird tortured sounds by 
patching two or more modules in a feedback loop, where the output of 
the first is modulating the second, and the output of the second is 
modulating the first.

A classic patch is to patch two filters this way, and set them both 
to oscillate. Yum!
