why we need a triple preamp

why we need a triple preamp

I've always wanted to try running two line-level audio sources (say,
two radios on different frequencies ala Stockhausen) through half a
'700. This could be even more fun with a '130. Think of it as
scratchin' on a MOTM. Endless possibilities.

hello all

i've gone from having tons of radios to bugger all of them - when i was
little (and lived at the top of a hill) i used to love listening to Radio
Prague, Radio Free America, RadioMoscow, so much better as background noise
than Radio Four (only UK types will get this), anyway, now I live near the
centre of town so all i can pick up is cab radios... ...anyway

something occured to me which maybe Paul can answer: the triple pre-amp,
being a 1u module is a 3 in 1 out unit not a 3 in, 3 out unit..?

cheers

That's nothing, I plan on running the clock out of an old computer into the
110 and using as a transmitter ;)

The Triple pre-amp has six jacks and three knobs -- three separate channels.

The mixer is a different module -- that has two different 3X1 sections that
can be normalled as 6X1. I imagine you could use it as a "double pre-amp"
as well with only one input to each bus.

chuck,
sounds good to me.........ever since my first exposure to stockhausens music
back in the early 70`s ( and coming from an amateur radio background at the
time ), i`ve always used my shortwave reciever as part of my music gear.
those rtty-type transmissions make great source material. even am / fm radios
have nice possibilities ala the negative band interpretation of "kurzwellen".
use the radio, luke................... :^)
best,
dave v.

I'll try that with the Trash-80 CoCo, that should put me smack dab in
the middle of the AM broadcast band. Bingo! Voltage controlled pirate
radio ;-)

One of my earliest memories is hearing WWV in my dad's radio shack.
RTTY sounds good for experimental music, this new packet stuff just
sounds like passing gas ;-)
