Yep! Thanks for the reference guys. Great minds think alike! And me too! Yeah, I have only the best to say about Joachim (if you look at his page about disassembling a broken submodule, you'll see a ring modulator submodule I used to own). A great guy to be sure. He was one of the first people (along with Paul S.) I came into contact with when I first got online. I couldn't imagine so many interesting and helpful people could reached so easily -- I had high hopes for the internet (so you can imagine my profound disappointment when I realized that Bradley and Hendry were about the best I was going to get). I agree that one could probably diy the ladder VCF as JV has it, but I ain't that one! I've drawn it out for protoboarding and it looks about three times the size of the standard ARP submodule (although, as I write this, I remember that Phil C's Bluemeanine is much larger than the ARP too). Since I've had a few recent bad (i.e., nonworking) diy experiences, I've not wanted to attempt such a thing with what seems to be a bit of a complex circuit. And of course it seems like a good PCB candidate to make available for repair reasons and for hobbyists who might be interested in a ladder VCF too! Oh well, I guess I have to build up my diy skills -- thanks again guys! JB
