Eeeek is right. But it's very pretty - think modern Arp 2500 in black
instead of white, and with jacks instead of matrix patching. I
drooled over one for awhile before choosing MOTM.

To be fair, most CMS modules contain multiple functions per module, such as
3 envelope generators, 2 full VCOs, etc. They are still expensive, though,
but perhaps the only modules on the market whose construction and component
quality match MOTM.

I do hear they make a good product, but I agree about the prices. What's even
worse is they are the only place around making replacement submodules for the
old ARP stuff. If you happen to need a replacement ladder VCF for your 2600
(like I do, because a previous owner had replaced it with a CEM 3320), it
will cost you $250 for their Bluemeanie VCF submodule alone! It would seem
that there is a clear market for unpopulated PCBs to fill this need -- maybe
Tony, or Harry (or someone) will take the hint.

Joachim Verghese has a nice page about ARP filter modules:

In all the talk about this article (including a direct quote of a
large chunk of it - it IS polite to acknowledge the author when you
do so), I CAN'T believe that nobody mentioned that the author is Gino
Robair, a SERIOUS jazz/avant-garde percussionist and label owner!

Nice to see MOTM (and other modulars!) praised by someone so talented.

(here's the URL, in case you forgot where it was, although you'll
need to paste it back together)

Nice to know there's at least one other MOTMer who knows about Gino as a
musician and not just as a gear pornographer! My partner and I booked the
Splatter Trio in Eugene several times about a decade ago, and have stayed
in touch with he and Myles Boisen over the years. It's been pretty cool
seeing both of them in EM, it seems to me that the coverage of more
experimental musicians has moved up a notch since Gino became involved.
