The 100 is......

The 100 is......

What a stooge, that Moe is!!

Mark, The real answer is that the MOTM-100 was the original version of the
MOTM-101 S&H / noise module. After it sold out, Paul decided to make some
improvements including the "slew" control and a front panel switch where the
100 had only a board jumper to select the vibrato source. I would give you
all the details except my 100 has been on world tour without me for several
months. I think I have forgotten how to use it. While some guys (like
another stooge) might lead you to believe that the 100 is somehow worth more
as a collector piece, the 101 should really be the "new and improved"
version.

Another stooge,
Larry

It's the collector's special limited edition of the MOTM-101, sold
only to the first 100 MOTM customers...

RTFWS! (was Re: The 100 is......)

Sorry for the facetious answer<g>. I've been seeing a lot of
questions on this list lately that are easily answered if you just
explore the official Synth Tech website. It makes me wonder how
closely anybody is looking at it.

Yes, the 820 and 910 are still on the News page - but everybody
should have found them by now.

The 101 page states clearly that it replaces the 100, hence my little
jest...

Love it!

Sorry, I checked the pdf catalog before I asked my question. However, the
website does say that the 101 replaces the 100. It also explains what the
Slew control does.

So I RTFM'd, I just didn't RTFWS :)

Guy's....... responses like these can be sent in private email. With the list
traffic picking up and more things happening, lets try to remember this if we
can.
All the best

So is the 820 the VC Pulse Divider?

Still trying to make light of (and live down) my last humiliating question.

BTW, Thanks to brother Shemp for the reminder of some of the (forgotten by
me) things MOTM has in store!

In all honesty, the above-quoted post could have also been sent in private
email to only Moe and myself.

At least our posts were on topic, and mentioned that the pdf motm catalog
and the motm website contained different information. When I first
s*bscribed to the list, none of the posts had anything to do with motm.
While I cannot speak for other listmembers, I don't mind chatty posts as
long as they are on topic.

The welcome message states: "This list is dedicated to the MOTM
synthesizer. Topics dealing with the use, assembly, modification, etc of
the MOTM modules are considered on topic. Please keep other threads in
other forums."

As a person who runs several mailing lists on different servers, I share
your concerns about traffic and keeping the list on topic. However, in
order to do this, the list administrator must declare their policy and be
willing to enforce that policy. Both are necessary.

If we are concerned about accidental traffic, there should not be a
"Reply-To:" field set to the list address. This setting can be changed at
the yahoogroups site.

Adding links to various websites and other text to the bottom of each
message can be done quite easily at the yahoogroup website. Yahoogroups
also provides space for the list to have its own page, which could contain
a brief FAQ, and an even more extensive website listing. Paul could also
add a link to the list's page from his page.
