Progress/Update
2001-03-01 by Paul Schreiber
Well, the floods they are a' comin'. Not floods of orders, but the water kind! We are having wave after wave of rainstorms. Which means, I can't get to the PO to mail! So, not much has shipped the last 3 days. Hopefully tomorrow, the rains will stop long enough so I can get before the ICE STORM hits Thursday PM. One a + note: finished the circuit design for the '101 today. I will start the pcb layout tomorrow, and finish Friday. The only thing left is playing with opamps in the White Noise section. OP275s put out gobs of HF energy, but startup (ie first 3 seconds after power applied) the part oscillates rail-to-rail at 8Mhz. This I am not liking. So, others sample parts are on order. This won't delay anything, I just won't label the silkscreen at that IC position. Traffic at the site keeps climbing! Robert's review has proven to be more valuable than the $5000 NAMM or the $3500 in advertising spent. And he even used his own system :) Now, I gotta work on Keyboard. So, I'm moving more and more files off my server onto baldbastard's. This has helped TONs. I should have thought of this earlier. The Wizard has proven to be popular: over 200 visits in 3 days. And 2 nice orders :) Techs Shane and Jeremy have job security. I ordered $11,000 worth of pots and jacks today. Yep, this is *some hobby* I got going here :) The new MOTM-960 pcbs have arrived and are 100%. Just waiting for a few more parts to show up in about 1 week and then those will be "officially announced" and ready for ordering. It's a 21 connector version of the 900-PCB with IN/OUT screw terminals and super-whiz-bang bulk capacitors. I suspect on March 10th I'll put it up on the web. I am re-writing the Tutorial page. It's out of date in places. New and Improved version this weekend. Thanks for waiting for your seeminly lost order to arrive. Paul S.
