web site updates

2001-02-24 by J. Larry Hendry

I have just finished with some website updates in case anyone really cares:

1 - I added the Serge peak and trough circuit that Dave Vosh told us all
about a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for sharing Dave.

2 - I added information sent to me by Dave Hylander concerning modifying
the smaller diameter Electroswitch rotarty switches for full rotation
if you
did not take advantage of my offer when I went direct to Electroswitch
and purchased those - C versions.

3 - I revised the 822 and 831 parts lists to reflect the alternate switch
numbers,
added the knobs when I never put on there, and revised the electrolytic
capacitor voltages to 35. I had 25V on one and 16V on the other. 16V
is
proably too low and 25V isn't available in that size / part number.

4 - The Oakley Mulitmixer I/O normalizing scheme used by Dave and I in his
1U
      implementation of that circuit.

And, I tried to correct a few typos things along the way. Thanks to
everyone that
has given me contributions and feedback.

My next additions will be the completion of the 300, 420, and 820
construction
photo formating and posting. Then, finishing the JP-6 schematics. If
anyone has
some or will be building and can take construction photos of the 100, 110,
120,
320, 410, 440, 700, 800, 900 modules, I would be pleased to have them. I
will
take photos of all the new stuff as I build them. But, these modules are
ones I
currently have plenty of and do not anticipate building anytime soon. And I
will
not be doing any disassembly for the purpose of photos <snicker>

web site updates

This time away from work has afforded me some time to do some file
organization (since I cannot do much of anything else with this splinted and
bandaged hand). No more Harley riding this year (just cancelled a 9 state
trip planned for September). And, looks like about 6 weeks before a
soldering iron is even an option.

But, I do now have all the photos up of the internal wiring in my 1 row
cabinet. I am in the process of editing and organizing all the 2 row slant
cabinet photos and will have them up, including AC and power supply wiring
in a couple of days I hope.

I have been giving the magic buss some serious consideration. I have
decided the numbering system on the distributed multiples is too small and a
little confusing. Therefore, I have devised a more simplified wiring scheme
that will make the magic buss easier to use and to legend. More on that
later.
