----- Original Message ----- From: sikorsky <vulture.squadron@...> ------< snip out other stuff >--------- - by the way congratulations to Larry, i plugged my 822 in and it worked first time - to the extent that i currently really to bothered to calibrate it (it sounds fine to my abused hearing) --------------- Thanks Paul. They have all worked for me on first power up. Well, Serial # 000 built on the proto board took a couple of tries as I left a couple of jumpers out. PLEASE do calibrate it. I think you will be amazed how it can be tuned to a gnats a** The calibration instructions "look" overwhelming. But, that is only because I tried to write them MOTM style to tell you everything except when to breathe. Another person told me off-list after doing his that he didn't need the instructions for tuning the intervals and octaves after doing the first couple of trimmers. However, VR18 and VR19 are there to unify the shifting between the A and B channels. Please follow my tuning instructions. You will be happy you did. While none of it is the slightest bit difficult. A LOT of consideration went into the methods to produce the best results. You can even tune one 100% with a voltmeter. I wrote separate instructions for that. One last note on instructions. A lot of people asked for assembly instructions. But, no one has actually read them completely yet. I put a surprise in there (just for my own entertainment) and no one has found it yet. Larry Hendry
