Lots of Switchcraft jacks!!! Aluminum!!! 1U only!!! No bends!!! No additional screws visible on front panel. Have the shop work up a 19" 1U panel and see how it acts. The lots of jacks should stiffen it a little. A welded crossmember is the best solution for me for support. What will the DC source do for me? CV control knobs? X-Y Joysticks? Trigger buttons? Two different types of panels, but fabricated the same way to get cost down and have people buy more? --Todd > -----Original Message----- > From: Paul Schreiber [mailto:synth1@...] > Sent: Thursday, July 08, 1999 9:36 AM > To: MOTM listserv > Subject: [motm] MOTM 19" wide, Part 2 > > From: "Paul Schreiber" <synth1@...> > > 1 more thing.... > > A 1U tall, 19" wide panel *may* no be stiff enough in the middle > not to flex a bit when inserting jacks. > > a 2U tall most definitely will NOT budge. > > I will see if the metal shop will fab a dummy panel.
