Re: Custom Panels next run?

2000-12-29 by Dave Bradley

Well, I can't even contemplate the prospect yet...

I'm still hip deep in orders to be mailed, I haven't done any
drilling yet, the Post Office employees groan when they see me
coming, the public in the queue at the Post Office want to stick
daggers in my back when they see all my packages to be mailed, I've
got to decipher the best way to mail a package to the UK, AND I have
9 modules of my own to build from this panel run before I'll be ready
for the next!

Oh yeah, it's been snowing at least 2 inches every other day for the
last 2 weeks. Iowa winters suck!!!

I will say this - Larry and I learned a LOT from this experience, and
the next time around will be smoother. I'd like to publicly thank him
for jumping in and volunteering his time and effort - I would have
been overwhelmed going it alone. The other thing I learned is that
it's better to have more panel runs with less volume each time. I'll
probably limit the next run to around 60 - 75 panels to keep it
manageable, and be much more ruthless about letting people weasel in
at the last minute.

Let me dig out, then we'll post to the list and allow people to vote
on what new designs they would like. Probably we'll do some Oakley
designs next.
