I hesitated to mention this in the first place because I didn't want 
discussion to get fixated on that portion of my remark. If it can be 
improved in a new design, great.

Again, my chief concern is getting a more radical sound - warm, rude, 
whatever.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
