>I didn't like the Schaeffer samples I saw at Tony's site without the tick marks, it looked rather bland in contrast to the MOTM modules. Bland you say, pah :-) Actually, you sort of get used to your own format. I have more Oakley modules than the MOTM one. So the MOTM one actually looks a little crowded compared to the more sparse Schaeffer panel ones. The photos on my site don't really do it justice. The Schaeffer stuff is more like Moog... and that font, the cheapest they do, is particularly close to the Moog modular. Tick marks cost more money of course, and since I'm tight, the ticks never got used. I did one panel with ticks just to see how much it costed... when I recovered from the shock, I decided the best thing to do was to leave them out. One thing to mention here is that I use a slightly different horizontal spacing to the MOTM spec. I use 1.625" for both the horizontal and vertical centres. This means that the user can put the boards in vertical or horizontal. Its doesn't really look that different, in fact, I hadn't even noticed it until another MOTM/Oakley customer told me. Right, back to soldering up some more patch leads... yawn! BTW: RG58 makes very cheap patch cable.
