Round is always easier. That is what is so nice
about the CB connectors I was telling you about. However, for square
holes, I really find those nibbler things work very well. ; I will have to
look and see, but I think they will go up to 1/8" on alum. I have used my
nibbler a lot and love it.

Good advice JWB - especially for the Cinch. On those
CB mic connectors I was talking about though, they have only one
combination. Females on the cable connector, males on the panel
mounts. But, the panel mount male plug are completely recessed, so they
cannot be easy shorted out with anything. I'll attach a
photo.

Nothing wrong with fuses to protect your PS from connection shorts too.
Any cable that gets plugged and unplugged is eventually subject to
failure.
