MOTM

I found the problem Thomas--you took me to seriously!  Ha!  (Remember Shemp
= lowly stooge, so regard accordingly)  To each his own.  If somebody can
get a great sound from their MOTM by taping a cordless mic to it and
dropping it from a 20-story building and can get a great sound, go for it!

I think the pots will be the same regardless of the knob size (in this case
at least).  I hope Tony preserves Paul's design asthetics as closely as
possible including ferrite bead inclusion.  I have given up on the larger
knobs battle at this point.  And MOTM is name the best game for the
financially challenged.  Although even Mickie D's would allow you to save up
and buy at least one module every two months and still pay rent and eat.

I am waiting to get some more VCOs and waiting for the multiple VCA to come
out so I can hear my MOTM in its true polyphonic glory.  Has anyone messed
around with this yet?  I have never seen any reports here.

One point that has been made before is the type of people who generally buy
MOTM.  This does NOT apply to everyone, but this does apply to me and
several others of us.  Generally current MOTMers are NOT hardcore musicians.
I think all of us LOVE music and sound.  And most of us are technology
junkies and tinkers/hackers.  I think that most of us are not great
musicians either, although we definitely know what we enjoy.  This leads to
many people who don't strive for creating completed compositions or don't
feel others will enjoy the noises the noises we make as much as we do or
don't feel we have the musical competency to even begin to create music
others would enjoy.  I think that is why we haven't seen more MOTM pieces
yet.  I think MOTM needs a silver bullet.  That was definitely SOB for MOOG.
I believe VISICALC for the Apple.  Some of the game consoles also have had
magic bullets.  Please add or correct as needed.  I think this is another
reason Paul pushes some of us to introduce the MOTM to our musically famous
friends and acquaitances.  Perhaps the magic bullet has already been written
or it is lurking inside of a current MOTM convert out there.  I'm
waiting....    (I know it isn't hiding in me!)
