well, after getting my car towed during soundcheck and losing my keys and fogetting my mixer, I finally did my first show with my MOTM! I had a great time (& made some really good coin to boot!) I've done lots of live shows, but never with motm before - i was a little worried, but: I was INCREDIBLE! I took everyone's advice, and left most of it pre-patched, taking full advantage of multiple ins on the 420, etc. Things went perfectly smoothly, and the MOTM was the hit of all the trainspotters. :) "what is that thing?" "did you make it yourself?" "is that a minimoog?" "I've never seen a DJ with one of those!" (sheesh...) I labelled all the patch cables, and didn't try to go too crazy with repatching everything. I got into some difficult situations, but serendipity seemed to prevail & just when I thought I was completely confused, the most amazing sound would start coming out of the thing :) complete gearlist of the show: me: -MOTM (of course!) -jx 3p w/pg200 -behringer 2804 eurorack mixer -FutureRetro 777 (the other hit of the show) -jomox xbase09 -tr606 with 7 trigger outs mod (trigger sequencer MONSTER) -BOSS dsd-2 digital delay sampler stompbox (with a trigger in) - my secret weapon -MPC2000 other guy: -sh101 -tr909 -bunch of simmons analogue drums (these are sooo cool!) -some kind of vocoder -another 606 -mackie 1604 -mc202 -paulw www.puffboy.com
