No, I'm not describing it correctly, then. If you hold down one note on the keyboard, in that example, you wouldn't get an oscillating voltage out---you'd get a steady one. The 'sinusoid' that I'm talking about would result from playing every note on the keyboard...it's a sinus wave superimposed on a linearity graph... you know what?
