So, in summary, this mishap makes no difference to the final product--it's strictly a 'behind-the-scenes' thing, right? -----Original Message----- From: Paul Schreiber To: MOTM listserv Sent: 03/12/2000 12:31 AM Subject: [motm] MOTM-440 info + pix From: "Paul Schreiber" <synth1@...> If you received the previous broadcast email, I discovered a misplaced mounting hole in the MOTM-440. The solution will be to add an additional hole in the *mounting bracket*. This hole will also be touching the existing mounting hole, but the KEPS nut will cover up a large portion of it, so it will be barely noticeable. When the first batch of pcbs run out, I will move the hole to it's proper location for all future boards. Sorry for getting too excited: I had visions of tossing all that work for a lousy hole! Since this mounting hole is the less stressed of the 4, you can also elect to just leave it out. This is what I did on my unit (see attached photo). It really doesn't weaken the mechanical strength at all. Tomorrow evening, I will add some demo snippets that Dave Bivins thoughtfully recorded.
