Sounds like a great idea. I'm not sure how you'd actually make it work. You want to tie V+ to the normalling lugs of the input jacks, but only if you are in Atten mode. I guess you'd have to run it through an analog gate per jack or something, switched by the mode switch. It would take a little clever designinging to allow a common double pole center off switch to control 3 separate modes. You could always go with triple throw, I guess.
