Hi Dave, I tried your patch as indicated, and found the clicking sound at the o/p without needing to hit the A i/p with noise. All of the divider pots had an effect also. When the B i/p was hit with a burst of noise, I found that either the click would stop, until hit again, or the click would change pattern. I was using 1/4" patch cables. Hopes this helps.
