> Will the standard MOTM version have the same feature-set as the special > edition? > I confused more people than I planned, so I will try again :) a) the 'Special Edition' is for the EURO E350 Morphing Terrarium, NOT the MOTM-350 version b) yes, there still is a MOTM-350. Everyone is going to have to remember differences between modules that start with E and those that start with MOTM (shrug). c) no, the 'real' MOTM-350 is not "going to look like" the Special Edition. This is nothing more than an *adapter panel*. I replace the Euro panel with this panel and wire up the 2 option switches and the 8 1/4" jacks. This is a 1-time Front Panel Express 2U wide panel I am making up "just for fun". BTW: the panel is 0.100 thick not 0.125 due to space issues. d) yes, you can buy the "guts" for the 2 main boards without the 3.5mm jack boards if you want a BrideChamber, Modcan or Buchla panel made elsewhere. Contact me off-list for details. e) yes, the E350 and the Special Edition can plug into a MOTM-900 4-pin connector. There is an on-board 3.3V regulator. f) no, the MOTM-350 will not use a 4-pin connector because of too much current draw off +15V. The MOTM-350 will require the 6-pin, MOTM-950 type power supply (same as the '650 and the '730). g) yes, the MOTM-350 has many more features, longer wavetables and better sound quality. But it is 4-6 months away and ~ $90 more. So, this is like a 'teaser' for the 'real thing'. Like a movie trailer :) h) no, the MOTM-350 is not multi-colored with German warning signs. It's just like any other standard, boring MOTM module. The RR Edition has the knobs "bunched up" because that's the Euro spacing (ack). I would like to order the panels by Wed Dec. 30th. Paul S.
