I have one of these and find it's really useful for creating distortion as
well as metal/glass/wood like percussive sounds.

Wow... that was a fantastic video...
 
Much more technical than you often get with these sorts of things.
 
An incredible plug for MOTM as the "train spotting" kids try to figure out
what he's using.
 
MOTM needs a blog and that should get posted there.
 
Speaking of train spotting, can anyone shed some light on some of the
"non-traditional" modules he highlighted at the top of his rack?

A Korg MS-20 has *two* filters in series: Low-pass followed by high-pass.
So, to be a "true" MS-20 setup, you need the 2 modules.
