On your list I've built the 490 twice and didn't have a problem. Not  
sure what you mean by lead free, the parts or the solder? Search the  
archives on this list for Paul's recommended solder, he may list it on  
his site too. He likes organic solder for basic parts that you have to  
wash in a sink. It's fun. :)

MOTM modules are super easy to build. You can find parts lists here  
and there and Paul sells special parts kits for the hard to find  
stuff. In the US you can find most stuff on Mouser or Digikey.
