Wow! I went on vacation for ten days and missed the most active MOTM discussion in years!! I think there were a couple of hundred emails in my "Inbox" when I got back, most of them from this list! Sorry I missed the flurry of activity, and the 'voting'! Anyway, personally I think the idea of posting videos like this is a very good one. I find video clips vastly more useful than audio clips, because much of a tool's usefulness is in HOW it is used, not just the end result. MP3 files are fine, but it's almost like trying to sell a Biscuit-Joining tool by showing a photo of a finished dining room table. My reaction would be like, "Okay, sure, nice table, but how did you GET there? What was it LIKE using the tool?" When you're trying to demo a synthesizer module, just playing an audio clip usually leaves me kind of shrugging, and I guess I'm left to either vote thumbs-up or -down on whether or not I 'like the sound.' The real question is, "how would I use this?' and audio files -- for me -- seldom answer that question. Video is a much better tool for that. -----Original Message----- From: motm@yahoogroups.com [mailto:motm@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Paul Schreiber Sent: Saturday, February 21, 2009 11:59 PM It's a MP4, ~33MB.
