I don't rationalize the economics at all, I just LOVE soldering. I enjoy building things with my hands, even most of the cabinets and desks in my studio are built by me, custom made for whatever nook & cranny I'm trying to fit something into. It's not a matter of money, it's a matter of fun. My day gig is all software design and testing, blech. I need hardware to bring my universe back into balance. > > At the risk of raising the ire of the many soldering fans on this > forum, I feel compelled to ask how our friends who have chosen option > (a) rationalize the economics of spending quite so many hours to save > so little $ (per hour)?
