I was happy to build the kits that I did, but I never got into building modules as an end in itself, it was simply an expedient (and cost-effective) way to get myself a modular. Building kits was satisfying enough, but I don't get any enjoyment from sourcing parts, and if the choice comes down to starting from a PCB and a panel or just getting a working module in the mail, I'd probably go with the latter. Having invested 4 years in getting my modular up and running, I'd rather put time now into working *with* it rather than *on* it.
