Just in case anyone's wondering: this is an unfortunate
quirk of PayPal that plagues many e-commerce sites, both of mine included (and
both of which are constructed with different software than Paul's site). It
doesn't help any that PayPal occasionally monkeys with how the order
submission/confirmation process works (or *cough cough* doesn't
work).
It is possible to set things up so that the PayPal page
automatically redirects the buyer back to the originating site, but 1) this
doesn't always work, and 2) some clever shoppers seem to be able to navigate
away from the PayPal page before it redirects them.

Subject: [motm] Using PayPal with the shopping cartI am seeing several cases where, when using PayPal, people are not going
"all the way to the end" to complete the order. Rather, they are stopping at
the end of the PayPal screen, but not at the end of the shopping cart. You
are *NOT DONE* when you click the PayPal 'submit to complete your order'
button. There is another button to load the order into the database that is
*after* you "shell out" to PayPal. You have to let the browser 'come back',
then submit to me (not to PayPal).
Just be sure to go that 1 more step.
