Hi, this is a question to those who plan to emulate the behaviour od a Dim D with my upcoming Subtle Chorus project. As you all know, on a vintage Dim D you can get more than 4 modes by pressing several of the 4 pushbuttons at once. I've analyzed the circuit, and found that there are exactly 6 diffenet modes (surprisingly few if you consider the possible combinations). The results of my analysis are here: http://www.jhaible.heim.at/subtle_chorus/dim_d_switches.pdf Now, I don't expect a lot of people to have access to real, interlocking mechanical pushbuttons, and if you do, there's still the problem of exactly spaced, and possibly rectangular holes in a front panel. So I would like to replace these pushbuttons with rotary switch: with 6 positions, of course. This means re-designing the LFO circuit (no problem), but it also means that it would be hard to connect 4 pushbuttons. (Well, maybe evan that would be possible with some diode logic - haven't thought this thru.) So, is everybody fine with a 6-position switch? And if so, please give some ideas in what order to place the 6 modes.
