Re: Newbie MOTM power supply question

2008-03-28 by Syruss Flyte

Ah, yes I hadn't noticed the lower output on the 950

I've do have spare linear power supply lying around:
DC Power Output: +15V@1500ma, -15V@1500ma, +5V@6000ma.
Is there any reason I couldn't (or shouldn't) just wire that up to a
990 adapter board and us it?

As for current modules, at the moment the cabinet only has a pair of
Modcan 05B Dual LFO modules, an (unpowered) Modcan 49B Attenuate
module, and a MTOM 390Â… the whole point of the cabinet initially was
to provide a home for LFO's since DotCom doesn't make them, but as my
system grows it become less reasonable to share power supplies
between cabinets, and I've a growing desire for modules other than
those provided by DotComÂ… like all those MOTM filters :)
