Not only that, but it's white.  So it's more like the photo-negative
of MOTM format :)

I agree it's unfortunate.  Not only is there MOTM format, there is
also eurorack, dotcom, etc.  Which means that anyone else buying a
frac kit would not only wind up with a panel they don't need, but
possibly pots and jacks as well.  That seems like a waste.
