MOTM

I grew up standing at a 1966 Farfisa Compact organ.  Didn't really 
start to sit until I played the Rhodes - they're short and I never 
really could master the sustain pedal while standing.

Now I always sit when playing the synth.  However, I never **play** 
my modular, I play **with** it, usually patching together something 
free running that I like.  While I could stand for that, I prefer 
sitting, thinking, then plugging.

I've already got a three-high main and side wing. When I run out of 
room, and I'm almost there, I could go to four-high.  I would 
probably still sit, but have the keyboard and other input devices on 
a stand or table, and lower the modular. That way I have room for 
cables on the lowest row and not interfere with the keyboard. I could 
also compress some room by not having 2U worth of rack gear behind 
the keyboard and under the modular.  Perhaps some sort of custom U 
style table where I could put a keyboard stand in the center of the 
U. I've seen computer desks made that way although this is the 
reverse where the keyboard portion would be higher than the table.
