Well, the first thing to do would be to check the 650.  Have you
tried plugging a keyboard (or something else that generates MIDI
notes) directly into it without using your computer and MIDI
interface??

If that works, then I would try connecting the 650 to the Firebox
with the same cable, then go into Audio MIDI Setup in OS X, set up
the 650, and test it from there.

If that works, then I would go into Logic and see if the 650 shows
up.  Then make sure that the 650 and your MIDI data are set to the
same MIDI channel.
