I use the silicone based kind you can get a Radio Shack for quite a bit less than any of those prices. I don't think it matters if it's silicone or not. And yes, there are lots of other kits that use it - any of the vco's, the 440 and 480, and probably a few others. One tiny tube will probably last you a lifetime, though - a dab'll do ya!
