Probably best get some 0.25 W 1% metal film. Last year, I got some
Koa Speer because Mouser still had some non-RoHS in stock
(660-MF1/4DLT52R1001F for the 1 k, 660-MF1/4DLT52R1002F for the 10 k,
660-MF1/4DLT52R1003F for the 100 k).

Wima, LCR, Panasonic make good caps. Xicon make polystyrene caps
that are cheap but have rather high temperature coefficient. AVX
make handy 100 nF axial multi-layer Z5U ceramic caps for
decoupling (Mouser 581-SA105E104M).
