For the 440, you need three 100 k log pots and four 100 k linear
pots. Paul specified cermet for one of the linear pots
(resonance). (I believe cermet is preferred when a low temperature
coefficient is needed. Why is it more critical for resonance than
for any of the other six pots ?
It's not. It's just that the Spectrol 149 (cermet) is easier to buy than the 148 (plastic).Paul S.
